Common questions
- What is Bloc?
Bloc is a group chat where friends track the wagers and investments they make together. Someone pitches a play, the bloc votes, and a member places it with their own account. Bloc keeps the record.
- Does Bloc place bets or move money?
No. Bloc never holds, moves or sends money, and never places a wager or trade. Members do that outside Bloc, with accounts they control.
- How do I sign in?
With your phone number. There's no password. Enter your number, tap Continue, then enter the code we text you. No code? Tap Resend. You must be 18 or older to use Bloc.
- How do I report a message?
Press and hold the message, tap Report, then pick a reason. Reports come to us. No one in the bloc can see them, admins included.
- How do I leave a bloc?
-
Open the bloc, tap its picture or initials at the top, then tap Leave bloc. If you hold a share, Bloc takes you to cash out instead. That's how a member with a share leaves.
You can't leave while you're the only custodian of an account with an open position, or while you own the bloc and it has no other admin.
- How do I delete my account?
In the app: tap your photo or initials at the top left of Home, then Account, then Delete account. What's removed and what stays.
- How do connected accounts work?
-
A custodian, the member who holds a bloc's account at a broker or prediction market, can connect it so Bloc tracks positions without typing them in. Connections are read-only. Bloc can see positions and activity, and can't place trades, wagers or transfers.
- Brokerages connect through Plaid. Bloc never sees your login.
- Kalshi uses a read-only key you create in your Kalshi account. The key stays on your phone.
- Polymarket connects your wallet from your @username or profile link. Wallet activity is public. Bloc reads it; it can't trade from it.
Other members see only what belongs to the bloc, never your whole account or its number. You can disconnect at any time. Records already confirmed in the bloc stay.
Linked Kalshi? When you disconnect, also delete the key in your Kalshi account. It works until you revoke it there.
